Safety & Quality
Delivering the right care at the right time in the right setting is the core mission of Kentucky hospitals. KHA is committed to helping members improve the quality of care they provide every day, and has multiple initiatives and resources to further this goal.
Hospital Rate Improvement Program (HRIP)
HRIP makes it possible for hospitals to draw down more federal funds so that Medicaid reimbursements will be closer to the average commercial rate rather than the Medicare rate of reimbursement. The funds are tied to quality metrics hospitals must meet in order to receive the improved reimbursement.
