Share

The KHA team testified today before the Interim Joint Committee on Health Services regarding the 340B program. KHA President Nancy Galvagni, KHA Senior Vice President of Health Policy and Government Relations Jim Musser, and KHA’s outside counsel Wes Butler attended the meeting to help lawmakers understand the importance of 340B and how it is used to benefit the patients served in Kentucky’s hospitals.

After a brief review of the origins and basic facts about the program, the team shared data on drug spending, the record profits of drug companies in comparison to struggling hospital margins in Kentucky, and how hospitals are using 340B savings to provide services for their patients.

A recording of the entire committee meeting will be archived shortly on KET.
