Kentucky Rural Telehealth Summit Webinar: Medicare Patients Use of Telehealth Could be Significantly Limited After 1/1/25
December 11 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
The pre-COVID rules and regulations that made telehealth somewhat difficult were relaxed in 2020 to allow patients insured by Medicare and their providers to leverage telehealth to care for patients during the COVID pandemic. These COVID-era flexibilities were to expire at the end of the COVID public health emergency, but fortunately, Congress extended them twice, and they are now about to expire on January 1, 2025. There are hopes that Congress will pass an extension so America’s health care systems can continue to offer a broad range of health care via telehealth to keep Medicare-insured citizens healthy. If Congress does not act before January 1, providers will be limited on how they can use telehealth for Medicare patients.
The Kentucky Telehealth Summit Planning team invites you to participate in a webinar on December 11 to discuss the most up-to-date information regarding the legal and regulatory status.
