The Southeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center (SE AHEC) strives to enhance access to quality health care by improving the supply and distribution of health care professionals through community/academic educational partnerships. The organization provides service to 16 counties in southeastern Kentucky. From clinical rotations in rural practice settings to health careers programming in local school systems, youth are preparing to enter the health care workforce. In addition, the SE AHEC supports local communities by offering continuing education opportunities to health care professionals and medical library services in the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Medical Center.
