Rural Scholars Program
The Rural Scholars Program, sponsored by the Purchase Area Health Education Center (AHEC), is a four-week summer program designed to introduce rural students to health and medical professions. Scholars gain exposure to community and population-based health issues in rural areas, with priority given to students from the Purchase Region. Participants are selected based on their interest in rural health care.
