Future Healthcare Professionals (FHP) is a free program hosted by the South Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC) that introduces high school students to health care. Programs can occur in the evenings, during the school day, or during school breaks. The program introduces students to various health care careers through hands-on activities, service projects, guest speakers, and field trips. Past activities include: CPR/first aid certification, suturing lessons, solving a medical forensics case, learning to intubate, and measuring vitals.
