The Community Action Poverty Simulation, hosted by Purchase Area Health Education Center (AHEC), breaks down stereotypes by allowing participants to observe others’ real-life situations. This simulation will enable individuals to walk in the shoes of someone facing poverty for one month. Currently, this program only focuses on nursing students at Murray State University to assist in conversations about patient experiences, history, and care.
