Conversations with hospitals have uncovered that more clinical/nursing program faculty/instructors must be available across the state. The health care industry can work to increase the pipeline into programs. However, there needs to be more instructors/faculty to teach them. In partnership with the Health Careers Collaborative of Greater Louisville (HCCGL) and CEO Council (CEOc), partners are exploring the potential of a pilot training program for instructors/faculty in the Louisville area. The focus includes both current nurses who are eligible, as well as bringing nurses such as retirees back to the workforce in these roles.
