Wes Butler will lead participants in a discussion on the recent HIPAA Final Rule on reproductive health privacy and how the new federal rule may intersect with Kentucky laws.  Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a legal tug-of-war has ensued between the federal and state governments surrounding reproductive health.  The Town Hall will provide an overview of the HIPAA Final Rule and a few relevant Kentucky laws, including the recent enactment of HB 174 (2024), which gives parents the right to access their child’s medical information.
