340B Legislation Passes Kentucky Senate

Share

Legislation supporting 340B in Kentucky just passed the Senate by a vote of 33 to 4.SB 14 requires pharmaceutical manufacturers to provide drugs to 340B entities at the same prices they charge in other states.

Two Senators who voted no in the Health Services Committee, Senator Steve Rawlings and Senator Keturah Herron, both changed their votes to YES in today’s Senate Floor vote.

Amendments to the bill were withdrawn before the vote. KHA is very grateful to bill sponsor Senator Stephen Meredith for addressing the misinformation surrounding the bill and explaining the need for this legislation to his fellow Senators.

Please continue to reach out to your House members to support this bill. Encourage them to go to the House leadership and House Health Services Committee Chair Kimberly Poore Moser to pass this critical legislation.
